Shopping for food has always been a very interesting thing every time I go visit the neighborhood grocery store, but even now, department stores have their “super” sized box stores with their own grocery department conveniently located next to the women’s intimates.
I walked past these cheese balls thinking that it is pretty amazing people have come up with “natural” ways of making our bodies think they’re eating something when, in fact, we’re eating something engineered out of a laboratory. I often times wonder what it would be like to live in a time where refrigeration was a luxury.
On December 31, 2010, Patty Tunk closed the doors to her diner after more than 20 years cooking up some of the best food around. The community that ate at 3358 Main Street is an incredible set of people. The first day my wife and I walked in through the doors, Patty’s sister, Bridgette, greeted us by name and remembered to always ask about our son. We felt welcomed by the great food and great sense of community. It was sad to see them go.
Pictured above was the back of their menu.
