Well, after setting permissions to my content directory to specifically 705 (anything else that I’ve tried didn’t work) I got my themes back. I have no idea how it changed to lose the style sheets. Now you get to gander at a screen shot of a screen shot of a screen shot of my blog as today’s photos. Lame. Lesson: update your blog regularly and don’t mess with the directory permissions.
I don’t know why, but suddenly a theme I’ve previously installed works on my wordpress blog when none of them worked just minutes ago. The rest of them that I’ve installed still don’t work. The plot thickens.
I’ve been searching throughout Internet land for more than 4 hours trying to figure out why my blog’s style sheet isn’t being used by WordPress. I don’t know if that’s even the problem.
Does anyone out there know how to fix why this blog’s formatting is reduced to a white background and black Times New Roman text?
The only thing I can think of is the permissions are not right, but I’ve tried changing all that (maybe in the wrong places) to no avail.
I figured out how to widen the post area. I can some post bigger pictures in now. My dad pointed out the red on black is hard to read. I’ll get on that.
Also, as usual, I am battling the issue of color casts on all my photos. The all seem to be a little cooler than what I see on different monitors. More experimenting is in order.
Be a family. I AM family.
